Summary
Ambi has a software developer day job, who started to watch anime at around 10 years old. He has since ventured into many anime-adjacent hobbies over the years. While he stopped watching anime religiously, he still likes to talk about anything anime and Japan. Cosplay is his favorite hobby at the moment. He is also working on some projects, mostly for fun and boredom with a lot of distractions along the way.

Funny travel anecdotes
- I travelled 3000+ kilometers across Japan in 12 days via the shinkansen. Thanks JR Pass pre-price hike!
- The furthest I've been for an anime convention was Anime Expo in Los Angeles back in 2017.
- Iceland is my dream country to visit. I guess I just like my temperate/sub arctic volcanic islands.
- I got lost in public transit in Singapore on my first trip there. It was the time when I didn't know travel SIMs existed.
As a cosplayer
I've wanted to cosplay for years (as a joke). My friends have inspired me and so I started cosplaying in 2023. My first cosplay was Barbara from Genshin Impact back in 2023. At first, I had help from a friend with my makeup. Eventually, I learned to do my own makeup. It is still a work in progress but I'm still proud of it. I still want to improve in making facial expressions and body poses. Eventually, I want to learn how to edit my own photos and direct my own shoots without the help of references.
As a cosplay assistant(Yes, he prefers assisting over cosplaying sometimes)

As an anime enthusiast
I don't watch a lot of anime these days and it was only in 2024 when I watched more than 5 anime in a year. I used to fly to other countries for anime conventions or for people who sing anisong (a portmanteau for anime song). I've since dialled down to focus more on travelling around Japan and financial priorities.
